What is a chair massage?
One name for a short (15-20 minute) massage of a client sitting in a special, portable massage chair. The client remains fully clothed and no oils are used while their shoulders, neck, upper back, head and arms are massaged. On-Site is popular at some offices as an employee benefit and for some conferences, workshops and certain social events.
How much space is needed?
Space requirements are minimal - only a small 5' x 6' area is needed for the therapist to set up their massage chair and have enough room to move around comfortably.
What should I wear for a chair massage session?
The most important thing is to wear something comfortable. Thinner fabrics work best, as well as removing necklaces, ties, vests, and jackets during the session.
